How to Get to Bulusan

Bulusan (Sorsogon province) is reached mainly via Legazpi (Albay) by domestic flight or by long-distance bus from Manila. The nearest airport used by most visitors is Legazpi (served from Manila and other domestic hubs); from there buses and shared vans connect to Bulusan town.

By Air

Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL): Flights to MNL are the main international route; from there domestic flights to Legazpi (see below) cut travel time. From MNL you can take a domestic flight to Legazpi (about 1 hour) or a long-distance bus to Sorsogon/Bulusan region (overnight or ~8-10 hours). Taxi from MNL to the nearest long-distance bus terminal is typically ₱200-₱400 depending on traffic.

Legazpi Airport / Bicol area (LGP): Legazpi is the closest airport to Bulusan. Domestic flights from Manila take ~1 hour. From Legazpi Airport a metered taxi to Bulusan town takes roughly 1.5-2 hours by road; expect taxi fares in the ₱1,500-₱2,500 range. Cheaper are buses or V-hire (shared vans) from Legazpi city terminal to Bulusan: roughly ₱120-₱250 and about 1.5-2 hours.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no regional passenger rail serving Bulusan; the Philippines’ main rail networks do not reach Sorsogon province.

Bus / V-hire: From Legazpi City bus terminal, Cagsawa or Legazpi terminals run regular bus and V-hire services to Sorsogon province and Bulusan town. Typical fares are around ₱120-₱250 and travel time 1.5-2 hours depending on stops and traffic.

How to Get Around Bulusan #

Bulusan is a compact town and easy to walk around the central barangay and market area.
