Antalaha on Madagascar's northeast coast is mainly reached by small regional flights when available or by road from neighbouring towns. Overland journeys use taxi‑brousse or hired vehicles and are affected by seasonal road conditions.

By Air

Antalaha Airport (ANM / local airstrip): Antalaha is served by a small regional airstrip (service is limited and subject to seasonal schedules). When flights operate they provide the fastest access; transfers from the airstrip into town are short and typically handled by taxis or hotel shuttles.

Sambava / regional alternatives: If direct flights are unavailable travellers often come by road from larger regional centres such as Sambava or Tamatave; road travel times vary considerably because of road conditions in the region.

By Train & Bus

Train: Madagascar has no rail connections to Antalaha; rail is not an option.

Bus / Taxi‑brousse: Overland access is by taxi‑brousse (shared bush taxi) or private 4x4; these are the common public transport methods in the Sava Region. Journeys can be long and depend on road quality and seasonality (rain can make roads difficult).
