How to Get to Andacollo
Andacollo is most conveniently reached overland from La Serena (airport LSC) or by bus from other Coquimbo towns. There is no regular passenger rail service, so buses and cars are the standard options.
La Serena / La Florida (LSC): La Serena Airport is the main aviation gateway for the Coquimbo Region. From La Serena you can reach Andacollo by bus or car in about 1-1.5 hours depending on route; intercity buses depart the La Serena/Coquimbo terminals for Andacollo several times a day and private transfers are available.
Santiago (SCL): Santiago is the principal international gateway; from there travel to La Serena by domestic flight or overnight bus and then continue to Andacollo by road.
Train: There is no significant passenger rail service to Andacollo; road transport is the common method.
Bus: Intercity buses and regional colectivos run from La Serena and Coquimbo to Andacollo (journey ~1-1.5 hours). Tickets are sold at the city bus terminals; schedules are more frequent on weekdays and during daytime hours.
