Aci Trezza on the eastern Sicilian coast is most easily reached from Catania-Fontanarossa airport with a short train or bus connection via Catania Centrale and Riposto. Regional trains + local buses/taxis make the journey quick and inexpensive.
Catania-Fontanarossa (CTA): Catania’s airport is the main international gateway for Aci Trezza, about 25-35 km away. From CTA take the Alibus or a taxi to Catania Centrale (≈20-25 minutes), then a regional train to Riposto and a short local bus or taxi to Aci Trezza; total travel time is usually 45-75 minutes. A direct taxi from the airport to Aci Trezza takes around 40-50 minutes and costs more.
Comiso / Palermo (regional): Palermo and Comiso airports are further away and usually require longer road/train transfers; Catania is the most convenient option for Aci Trezza.
