Zawiya al-Qadi al-Fadil Monument

The Zawiya al-Qadi al-Fadil is a small Islamic religious complex (zawiya) in Cairo Governorate used traditionally as a Sufi lodge and funerary shrine. It forms part of the dense ensemble of religious buildings in historic Cairo.

The building typically contains a modest prayer space and a tomb chamber, and visitors will find architectural elements common to Cairo’s zawiyas such as domes, carved stone or woodwork, and a mihrab.
