Yumenoshima Park

Yumenoshima Park is a public park on Yumenoshima, a man-made island in Tokyo Bay within Tokyo. The site includes recreational areas and a notable tropical greenhouse.

Within the park the Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome displays palms, orchids and other tropical plants under glass; outdoor areas include lawns, sports fields and picnic spots. The park is used for family recreation, botanical displays and occasional events, and provides views across Tokyo Bay.

The island and park were created on reclaimed landfill and industrial land; the greenhouse and park facilities were developed after reclamation to provide public green space. The transformation from waste-disposal and industrial use to parkland is a defining part of the site’s recent history.

Yumenoshima Park sits in Tokyo Bay on Yumenoshima island, administered within Tokyo and located near the Shin-Kiba area, with access from central Tokyo by public transport.
