Carriel Sur / Concepción (CCP): Concepción’s Carriel Sur Airport is the closest commercial airport for the Biobío region. From Concepción you can reach Yumbel by road - the drive takes roughly 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic; taxis and private transfers are available from the airport though bus connections from the Concepción bus terminal are the common low‑cost option.

Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez (SCL): For international travellers, Santiago is the main gateway. From Santiago to Yumbel expect a 4-5 hour drive; buses from Santiago to Concepción and then onward connections to Yumbel are possible.
