About Yerevan Zoo#
Yerevan Zoo is the principal zoological garden in Armenia, located in the capital city of Yerevan. The zoo was established in 1940 and has served as the country’s main public animal collection since that time.
The zoo’s enclosures present a mix of native and exotic species and include indoor and outdoor facilities for mammals, birds and reptiles. The site has undergone periodic renovations and upgrades to enclosures and visitor facilities in recent decades.
The zoo sits in central Yerevan near the Hrazdan River valley and adjacent green spaces, making it accessible from the city centre.
