How to Get to Wushan
Wushan (Chongqing municipality) is typically reached from Chongqing via high-speed rail or long-distance coach after flying into Chongqing Jiangbei (CKG). Rail to the Wushan area is the most convenient option for tourists heading to the Three Gorges region.
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG): The main international airport for Chongqing municipality; from Chongqing you can travel to Wushan by high-speed rail or long-distance coach. The combined airport-to-Wushan trip typically takes several hours depending on transfer choices.
Wanzhou / nearby regional airports: There are no large international airports in Wushan itself; regional transfers from nearby airports require onward rail or road travel to reach Wushan county seat.
Train: Wushan is served by high-speed and conventional rail stations on routes serving eastern Chongqing and the Three Gorges area (look for Wushanbei / Wushan North or the local Wushan station name on timetables). High-speed trains from Chongqing take several hours depending on the route and stops.
Bus / Coach: Long-distance buses connect Chongqing and nearby cities with Wushan; coaches are a common alternative if train schedules do not match your itinerary and provide direct service to the county seat or river ports.
How to Get Around Wushan #
Wushan (巫山) is pedestrian‑friendly in the old town area and tourist hub, with short walking distances to riverfront sights.
