Wulai Waterfall is a prominent waterfall in Wulai District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, with a single main drop of around 80 metres and a developed viewing area close to the town. It is one of the district’s primary scenic attractions.

A short paved walk from the town centre and Wulai Old Street leads to platforms and paths that overlook the falls and the gorge below. The area is frequently visited together with hot springs, local food stalls and short forest walks. Flow is seasonal and strongest after heavy rain.

The waterfall has long been a focal point for the local Atayal indigenous community and for regional tourism, with basic visitor facilities concentrated near the trailhead. Management concentrates on maintaining safe access and protecting the surrounding river corridor.

The falls sit in the hills south of Taipei in Wulai District, roughly 30 kilometres from downtown Taipei by road, along the Xindian/Neiwan river valley and accessible by bus or car.

  • Height and access: The main drop is approximately 80 metres high and is framed by a viewing platform a short walk from Wulai Old Street and the district's visitor facilities.
  • Cultural context: The waterfall is adjacent to an Atayal indigenous community and is commonly combined with local hot-spring visits and cultural attractions in Wulai.
