Wufengqi Pubu

Wufengqi Pubu, commonly called Wufengqi Waterfall, is a tiered waterfall on the slopes above coastal Yilan County in northeastern Taiwan. The site comprises a series of cascades and rock steps with constructed viewing platforms and short walking trails.

Hikers can reach multiple viewpoints via a short trail network that passes through native subtropical forest and shaded slopes. The falls are a local recreation destination often visited together with nearby hot-spring towns and coastal attractions. Seasonal flow varies with rainfall and is strongest during the wet season.

The waterfall and its walking access have long been used for local recreation and were developed with stairs and platforms to provide safe viewpoints; management focuses on maintaining trails and protecting surrounding vegetation.

The falls sit in the foothills near Jiaoxi Township in Yilan County in northeast Taiwan, a short drive inland from the Pacific coast and close to the region’s hot-spring resorts.
