How to Get to Wah Fu
Wah Fu (Pok Fu Lam area) is best reached via Hong Kong International (HKG) then MTR + bus/minibus or taxi. There's no MTR station inside the estate, so the last leg is nearly always by bus, minibus or short taxi ride.
Hong Kong International (HKG): Hong Kong International is the main airport serving Hong Kong. From HKG take the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station (about 24 minutes, HK$115 one-way) then taxi (about 15-25 minutes to Wah Fu, HK$120-200 depending on traffic) or transfer to the MTR Island Line and a short bus/minibus to Wah Fu.
Macau (MFM) / Zhuhai (ZUH) ferry/airport: If arriving via Macau or Zhuhai, use the ferry or cross-border shuttle to Hong Kong and then proceed by taxi or public transport to Wah Fu. Travel times vary by crossing and customs; expect at least 1-2 hours door-to-door from Macau or Zhuhai terminals.
Train (MTR): There is no direct MTR station inside Wah Fu; the closest Island Line stations are Kennedy Town and HKU. From Kennedy Town or HKU, frequent buses and minibuses serve Wah Fu (10-20 minutes). MTR fares depend on distance (a few HK$ to HK$15+).
Bus / Minibus: Citybus routes and green minibuses connect Wah Fu estate to Kennedy Town, Shek Tong Tsui and Central. Typical single-ride fares on buses are HK$4-12 and minibuses slightly higher; journey times from Kennedy Town are around 10-20 minutes depending on traffic.
How to Get Around Wah Fu #
Wah Fu Estate is very walkable within the housing complex; most daily errands can be done on foot. Note the area has steep streets and stairways in places, so bring comfortable shoes. Public transport is mainly buses and public minibuses that link Wah Fu with Aberdeen, Central and other Southern District neighborhoods; taxis and ride-hailing are also widely used. Allow extra time for peak-hour traffic when travelling to the MTR.
