Vulci lies between Viterbo and Tarquinia in the province of Viterbo, Lazio. The nearest larger towns are Montalto di Castro and Tuscania. By car, take the SP1 or SS1 (Via Aurelia) and follow local roads inland; allow 1-1.5 hours from Rome depending on traffic. There is limited public transport; hiring a car or booking a guided tour from Rome or Viterbo is the most practical option.
