Vidin is accessible overland from Sofia by train or bus (roughly 3-4 hours). There are no regular scheduled international flights into Vidin itself, so most travellers fly to Sofia or arrive via Romania and continue by road or rail.

By Air

Sofia Airport (SOF): Sofia is the main international airport serving northwest Bulgaria. From Sofia you can reach Vidin by long-distance bus or train; the journey is roughly 3-4 hours by rail or road depending on service and route. There are no regular commercial flights directly into Vidin.

Bucharest (OTP): Some travellers cross from Romania (Bucharest or Craiova) and continue by road to Vidin - international bus and private transfer options exist but involve a longer overland itinerary and border crossing times.

By Train & Bus
