How to Get to Vadstena
Vadstena is easiest reached via Linköping (air and rail) with regular regional buses connecting the two towns. For international arrivals, Stockholm Arlanda is an option but expect a longer rail/bus transfer.
Linköping City Airport (LPI): Linköping is the closest airport (about 35-40 km). From the airport you can travel to Linköping city centre and then onward by regional bus or train toward Vadstena; total travel time to Vadstena is around 35-60 minutes.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN): For international flights ARN is an option; combined travel by train or car to Vadstena typically takes 2.5-3.5 hours depending on connections and transfer mode.

Bus: Östgötatrafiken runs regional buses that link Linköping and Motala with Vadstena; bus journeys from Linköping take roughly 30-45 minutes and are straightforward for day trips.
