Visit Visa on Arrival#
- Who: citizens of the US, UK, EU countries, Canada, Australia and many others.
- Stay: 30 days for some nationalities, including the US and UK, and 90 days in 180 for others, including most EU countries. Some 30-day visas can be extended.
- Cost: free on arrival for eligible nationalities.
Remote Work Visa#
Also called the virtual working programme:
- Who: remote workers employed by a company outside the UAE, or business owners whose company is outside the UAE.
- Income: at least $3,500 a month, though Dubai has asked for $5,000 a month for its version.
- Other documents: passport valid for six months, proof of employment or company ownership, payslips or bank statements, and UAE-valid health insurance.
- Length: one year, renewable.
- Benefits: an Emirates ID, which lets you rent property, open a bank account, get a phone contract and sponsor family.
- Cost: about $300 plus medical test, insurance and Emirates ID fees.
- How to apply: online through the official portals for Dubai or the federal system, then complete a medical test and biometrics after arrival.
Golden Visa#
The golden visa gives 5 or 10 years of residence to property investors, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals and some high earners. It doesn’t need a local sponsor and can include family.
