How to Get to Trilj

Trilj is inland from Split and is most conveniently reached via Split Airport (SPU) or Split bus/rail hub. From Split take a regional bus or drive to Trilj; buses are regular and inexpensive for the short inland journey.

By Air

Split Airport (SPU): The nearest international airport for Trilj and the Cetina region. A shuttle or local bus from SPU to Split city centre takes about 25-40 minutes; fares are roughly HRK 30-40. From Split you continue by regional bus or car inland toward Trilj (~45-60 minutes by road).

Zagreb Airport (ZAG): Another option though further away (longer drive); many visitors use Split for direct access to Dalmatia’s inland areas.

By Train & Bus

Train: The Croatian rail network centers on coastal and mainline routes; there is no direct rail to Trilj. The best rail approach is to reach Split or Sinj (Sinj has limited rail access) and then use a bus or taxi.

Bus: Buses from Split bus station run regularly to Trilj and nearby Cetina Valley villages; journey from Split to Trilj by bus is about 45-60 minutes and fares are modest (typically under HRK 50). Buses are the most convenient public transport option for reaching Trilj.

Trilj’s centre and riverside areas are compact and walkable; many outdoor sites are best reached on foot or by short drives. Regional buses run to Split and nearby towns; schedules are seasonal and fares are modest. A car makes it easier to explore the Cetina canyon and surrounding villages.
