How to Get to Toila#
Toila is accessed overland from Tallinn (TLL) by car or by regional rail/bus to nearby Kohtla-Järve or Narva and onward local bus or taxi. Road travel across Ida-Viru County is the common final step.
Tallinn Airport (TLL): Estonia’s main international airport is the typical arrival point for Toila. From Tallinn the drive to Toila in Ida-Viru County takes about 1.5-2 hours (roughly 120-140 km); car rental and bus connections are available.
Narva / Kohtla-Järve (regional options): There are no major scheduled commercial airports closer to Toila; travellers normally use Tallinn and continue by road.
Train: Estonian Railways (Elron) runs services to Narva and Kohtla-Järve; the nearest practical rail stops for Toila are Kohtla-Järve or Narva, from which you would continue by local bus or taxi. Train fares are affordable and trips along the eastbound corridor are regular.
Bus: Local and regional buses connect Jõhvi, Kohtla-Järve and Narva with Toila; bus travel is the most straightforward public transport option for the final leg and takes from a few minutes up to an hour depending on origin and connections.
