Acapulco International Airport (ACA): Acapulco is one of the nearer airports serving Guerrero with regular domestic flights. From Acapulco, travellers typically continue by long-distance bus or private transport to Tlapa; bus journeys take several hours and schedules vary by operator.
Iguala / Chilpancingo (regional airports): There are small regional airfields in Guerrero but scheduled services are limited. For most visitors, arriving by bus from larger airports (Acapulco or Mexico City) is the practical option.
Train: There is no regular national passenger train service to Tlapa de Comonfort. Rail travel is not a practical option for this town.
