Tjolöholm Castle

Tjolöholm Castle is a country estate on the Kattegat coast in Halland County, Sweden, completed in the early 20th century and noted for its Arts and Crafts influenced architecture and intact period interiors.

The property includes the main manor house, formal gardens and boathouse on a rocky coastal headland, arranged to take advantage of sea views over the Kungsbacka fjord. The house contains original furnishings and interiors from its turn-of-the-century construction.

Built between 1898 and 1904 to a design by architect Lars Israel Wahlman for the Dickson family, the estate combined modern construction with historicist and Arts and Crafts details. It has since been preserved and adapted for public visits and cultural events.

The castle sits on the western shore of the Kungsbacka fjord in Halland County, roughly southwest of Gothenburg, with immediate coastal parkland and farmland surrounding the estate.
