How to Get to Tērvete
Tērvete is a rural area best known for its nature park and forest trails; access is easiest by car from Riga or by combining regional railhead towns with local buses or taxis. A car makes visiting the park and surrounding villages far more convenient.
Riga International Airport (RIX): Latvia’s main international airport (near Riga) is the primary air gateway for reaching Tērvete. From Riga the drive to Tērvete is about 1-1.25 hours by car; rental car or taxi are the usual onward options.
Other regional airports: Liepāja and Kaunas (in neighbouring Lithuania) are farther away; Riga is the practical choice for international arrivals to the Tērvete area.
Train: There is no direct national rail station in Tērvete. The closest railheads are in Jelgava or Dobele; from there you need a bus or taxi to reach Tērvete (roughly 20-40 minutes).
