Tatoi Palace is a former royal residence and estate north of Athens in the Attica region, traditionally used as the summer palace and hunting estate of the Greek royal family. The complex includes the palace building, parkland and family burial sites within the larger Tatoi estate.
The estate served as the principal country residence for the Greek royal family from the 19th century through most of the 20th century. The palace and grounds illustrate royal domestic architecture set within extensive wooded property.
After the end of the monarchy the estate’s ownership and management passed through several state arrangements and periods of limited public access; restoration and conservation efforts have taken place in recent decades.
