How to Get to Taghazout
Taghazout is best reached via Agadir Al Massira Airport with a short road transfer north along the coast. Grand taxis and private shuttles are the most common and convenient last-mile options.
Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA): Agadir is the closest airport to Taghazout. From AGA you can take a taxi or an airport shuttle to Agadir city (≈25-30 minutes) and then a bus or grand taxi north to Taghazout (additional ≈30-40 minutes). Expect private taxi fares from the airport to Taghazout to vary (shared grand taxis are much cheaper).
Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK): Marrakech is further away (≈3-4 hours by road) but sometimes used by travellers combining inland and coastal visits; either rent a car or take an intercity bus to Agadir then transfer to Taghazout.
Train: There is no direct rail link to Taghazout; the nearest train network is in larger Moroccan cities.
Bus / Grand taxi: From Agadir city take local CTM or other bus services if available, or more commonly a ‘grand taxi’ shared to Taghazout. The road trip from Agadir to Taghazout takes roughly 25-40 minutes depending on traffic. Private transfers and shuttles are widely offered by hotels and surf camps.
How to Get Around Taghazout #
Taghazout is very walkable around the village and beach areas; narrow lanes are best navigated on foot. Shared taxis (grands taxis) and local buses connect Taghazout with Agadir and other coastal towns, and many surf companies run shuttle transfers. For flexibility consider hiring a taxi or shuttle; shared transport is inexpensive but can be crowded, and schedules are informal rather than strictly timed.
