How to Get to Strenči
Strenči is a small town in Valmiera Municipality best reached via Riga (RIX) followed by an intercity bus to Valmiera and a regional bus or taxi for the last short leg.
Riga International Airport (RIX): Riga is the main international arrival point for northern Latvia. From RIX travel to Valmiera by intercity bus (about 1.5-2 hours, €5-€10) and then take a local bus or taxi to Strenči (15-30 minutes, €5-€15). For late arrivals a direct taxi from RIX to Strenči is possible but significantly more expensive (roughly €70-€120 depending on route).

Train: Strenči is not directly served by Latvia’s passenger rail network. Major rail connections are concentrated in Riga and other regional centres; expect to combine rail to Riga with bus travel.
Bus: Intercity bus services from Riga (Rīgas autoosta) or Valmiera are the usual public transport option. Buses to Valmiera take about 1.5-2 hours from Riga (€5-€10); onward local buses or taxis connect to Strenči in under half an hour.
