How to Get to Stonington
Stonington, CT is easiest reached by car from nearby airports (PVD, BDL) or via Amtrak to New London with a short taxi or rideshare into town. Public buses exist but have limited schedules; taxis and driving are more practical for final connections.
T.F. Green Airport, Providence (PVD): One of the closest commercial airports to Stonington, CT. From PVD drive to Stonington (~1-1.25 hours) or take a combination of rail/bus into New London and transfer by local taxi or rideshare.
Bradley International Airport (BDL) / Boston Logan (BOS): Other options with longer drive times. Logan offers the most flights; expect a 2-2.5 hour drive from Boston to Stonington (traffic-dependent).
Train: Amtrak’s Northeast Regional and Acela stop at New London Station (a short drive from Stonington). From New London take a taxi, rideshare or local bus to Stonington (≈15-30 min).
Bus: Southeastern Connecticut Transit (SEAT) and other regional buses serve the area with limited schedules; for many visitors the train + taxi/rideshare option from New London is the most reliable public transport route to Stonington.
