Sorico is a small municipality in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, located at the northern extremity of Lake Como where the lake’s upper reaches narrow. It functions as a lakeside town with ferry and road connections to other communities around the lake.

The town’s setting is defined by the meeting of Alpine foothills and the lake shoreline, with waterside promenades and local services oriented to residents and visitors exploring the upper lake. Sorico has historically been a local transport node linking lake traffic and mountain routes.

Sorico is accessible by road from Colico via the SP72; regional trains stop at Colico station (on the Milan-Lecco-Sondrio line), with bus or ferry connections north to Sorico.
