Piantedo is a small locality on the eastern shore of Lake Como near Colico in the Province of Sondrio, Lombardy. By road it lies on/near the SS36 lakeshore highway (the main north-south route from Milan to Colico); driving from Milan to the Colico/Piantedo area is roughly 80-100 km (about 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic).
Rail: regional trains on the Milan-Lecco-Sondrio line serve Colico station; Piantedo is a short drive from Colico station or reachable by local roads from the SS36.
