Slavkovský štít Mountain

Slavkovský štít is a mountain peak in the High Tatras of northern Slovakia, in the Prešov Region, with an elevation of 2,452 metres above sea level. It is one of the recognizable summits of the Tatras mountain chain.

The summit is an objective for experienced hikers and climbers and offers panoramic views across the High Tatras when conditions permit. Approaches involve steep, often exposed terrain so many ascents are undertaken by parties with mountain skills and appropriate equipment.

The peak has long been part of the natural and mountaineering landscape of the High Tatras and lies within the broader conservation framework for the Tatras. It has been mapped and climbed since the growth of alpine tourism in the 19th and 20th centuries.

The mountain sits in the High Tatras range of northern Slovakia, within the Prešov administrative region and the area covered by Tatra mountain protections.
