Sisal is reached by road from Mérida (MID), the region's main airport. There is no rail service to Sisal; buses to Progreso plus a taxi or colectivo, or a direct taxi from Mérida, are the usual onward options.

By Air

Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport, Mérida (MID): Mérida is the nearest major airport for Sisal. From Mérida Airport the drive to Sisal village on the Gulf coast takes roughly 45-75 minutes depending on traffic (about 40-60 km); private taxis and pre-booked transfers are common-expect fares roughly MXN 500-MXN 1,000 for a direct transfer.

Progreso (small airfields/ferry access): There are no major scheduled commercial flights to Progreso; if you arrive to the region by other means, continue by road to Sisal from Mérida or Progreso port areas.

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no regular passenger rail service to Sisal; rail is not a mainland option for the Yucatán coast route.

Bus: ADO and other regional bus services run between Mérida and coastal towns like Progreso.
