Siquirres is reached primarily by road from San José or Limón. Buses along Route 32 are the standard public option; travel times are several hours from the capital so plan accordingly.

By Air

Juan Santamaría International (SJO): San José’s main airport is the typical entry point for Siquirres. From SJO you can take a bus from San José’s Terminal Atlántico (after transfer from the airport) toward Limón; the road trip to Siquirres along Route 32 takes roughly 2.5-3.5 hours depending on service and traffic.

Limón (LIO) / small regional airports: Limón is closer to the Caribbean coast but services are limited; most international arrivals use SJO and continue by road.

By Train & Bus

Train: Costa Rica has no active intercity passenger rail service that serves Siquirres.

Bus: Public buses run from San José (Terminal Atlántico) to Siquirres and continue toward Limón. Journey time is typically about 2.5-3.5 hours from San José depending on stops; fares are modest (approximately CRC 1,000-2,500 depending on operator and service).
