Shunan Zhuhai National Park

Shunan Zhuhai National Park, commonly referred to in English as the South Sichuan Bamboo Sea, is a protected scenic area in southern Sichuan province known for its extensive bamboo forests. The park’s bamboo groves form a dominant landscape feature with walking routes that allow visitors to experience the scale of the stands.

Within the park there are trails and viewpoints that allow visitors to explore bamboo valleys, forested ridges and small lakes or streams that run through the groves. The area’s landscape has been developed as a scenic and recreational resource while also conserving bamboo ecosystems.

The park was designated to protect the region’s bamboo forests and to provide managed visitor access to the scenic areas. It is part of a broader network of natural and cultural attractions in southern Sichuan aimed at nature tourism and conservation.
