Shell Energy Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Houston, Texas, home to the Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo and the National Women’s Soccer League club Houston Dash. It opened to host professional soccer and other outdoor events and is used for sporting matches and concerts.

The venue is designed primarily for football/soccer with sightlines and seating arranged around a rectangular pitch. It regularly hosts MLS matches, NWSL matches and occasional concerts or special events.

Built and opened in 2012 to provide a modern downtown stadium for Houston’s professional soccer teams, the facility replaced the teams’ previous venue and has undergone naming-rights changes since opening. It remains the city’s primary mid-sized outdoor soccer venue.

The stadium sits in Houston’s East Downtown area near major roadways and public transit links, a short drive east of downtown Houston.

• Capacity: The stadium has a seating capacity of about 22,000 for soccer matches and is configured as a soccer-specific venue.
• Getting there: Located in Houston’s East Downtown district, it is close to public transit and highway connections for event access.

Located south of downtown Houston near the East End. METRORail Green Line (CQC) serves the area; exit at the Ensemble/HCC Park Place station and walk 5-10 minutes. Driving from downtown is about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

• Check the Houston Dynamo FC schedule for match days and arrive early-tailgating and stadium pre-shows can add to the experience.
• The stadium has clear signage for light rail connections-use public transit to avoid heavy post-game traffic.
• If attending second-tier events or concerts, verify parking and entry zones as they can shift with event type.
