Best Time to Visit Sekong#

Dry Season

November - February

16°C - 28°C (61°F - 82°F)

Cooler mornings and clearer skies - most comfortable for hiking, river valleys and exploring without constant afternoon storms.

Hot Season

March - April

26°C - 36°C (79°F - 97°F)

Very hot, humid days before the monsoon; energy-sapping heat makes mid-day outdoor activity unpleasant without shade or water.

Rainy Season

May - October

24°C - 30°C (75°F - 86°F)

Regular heavy showers and swollen rivers dominate; countryside is green and dramatic but expect muddy roads and disrupted travel plans.

Climate

Sekong's climate is classified as Tropical Savanna - Tropical Savanna climate with consistently warm temperatures year-round. Temperatures range from 20°C to 34°C. Abundant rainfall (1970 mm/year), wettest in July with a pronounced dry season.
