Schloßplatz is in central Wiesbaden, directly in the city centre. It’s an easy 10-15 minute walk from Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof, and is served by local buses/trams (ESWE Verkehr) from around the city. By car Wiesbaden is directly across the Rhine from Mainz (approximately 8-12 km depending on start point) via the A643; follow local signs to the city centre and Schlossplatz.

• Go early weekday morning to see Schlossplatz and the surrounding façades before shops and pedestrians fill the pedestrianised streets; photographers will find the light and empty piazza much better then.
• Approach on foot from the adjacent Wilhelmstraße pedestrian zone or the Kurhaus/Kurpark side to find quieter vantage points and cafés that many visitors miss when they arrive only at the central square.
• If you plan to visit nearby museums or the state parliament building, check opening times in advance-many civic buildings near the square have restricted access and short visiting hours.
