From Roatán airport you can take a taxi to towns on the island (20-50 minutes depending on location; fares roughly US$10-US$30) and then use local buses or taxis to reach smaller settlements like Savannah Bight.
Golosón International Airport, La Ceiba (LCE): La Ceiba on the mainland is the main ferry gateway to the Bay Islands. Bus & Ferry: To reach the Bay Islands from the mainland, take an intercity bus to La Ceiba (from San Pedro Sula ~3-4 hours, fares vary) then a ferry to Roatán/Utila. On Roatán, local bus/taxi services connect ferry ports and the airport to villages such as Savannah Bight; expect short taxi rides (US$5-US$25).
