How to Get to Sarandë

Sarandë is commonly reached either by ferry from Corfu (CFU) or by bus from Tirana (TIA). There's no train service; the town's port and bus station are the main arrival points, with ferry links strong during the summer months.

By Air

Corfu International Airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias” (CFU): Corfu is the most convenient airport for Sarandë. From Corfu town you can take a seasonal ferry or high-speed catamaran to Sarandë - crossings take about 30-90 minutes (fast boats ~30-45 min) and fares are roughly €15-25 depending on season and operator.

Tirana-Mother Teresa Airport (TIA): From Tirana you can take a direct bus to Sarandë; the trip is about 4-5 hours and tickets typically cost €10-15. This is the usual route for travellers arriving on scheduled international flights if you prefer a single-country itinerary.

By Train & Bus

Train: There are no passenger rail services to Sarandë; Albania’s rail network does not serve the southern coastal route.

Bus / Ferry: Buses run from Tirana, Gjirokastër and other coastal towns to Sarandë (4-5 hours from Tirana, ~€10-15). The port is the town’s transport hub - ferries from Corfu arrive at Sarandë harbour and local buses connect to beaches and nearby villages. Seasonal boat schedules change; book ahead in high season.
