How to Get to Sakhra, Ajloun
Sakhra in the Ajloun Governorate is reached via Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) with onward travel by bus/minibus or taxi from Amman. There is no useful passenger rail for this corridor; shared minibuses and private cars are the common options.
Queen Alia International Airport (AMM): AMM (near Amman) is the main international airport for northern Jordan. To reach Ajloun (governorate seat near Sakhra) most travellers take a bus or taxi to central Amman (45-60 minutes, JOD ~3-7 for shuttle/bus) and then a minibus or service taxi from Amman’s northern/Tabarbour bus area to Ajloun (about 1-1.5 hours, JOD ~1.5-3). A direct taxi from AMM to Ajloun takes roughly 1.5-2 hours and costs approximately JOD 35-60 depending on negotiation and type of vehicle.
Train: Jordan has no current long‑distance passenger rail service linking Amman and northern governorates; passenger rail is effectively unavailable for this route.
