High / low are average daily temperatures (°C). “Feels” reflects how hot or cold it feels, allowing for humidity.
Kingstown & Leeward Coast (southwest St. Vincent)
March often feels warmer, with humidity edging up a touch but trades still keeping conditions pleasant on the coast; sunsets over Admiralty Bay have a particularly crisp look. Day trips to Mustique and Canouan are popular and visibility for snorkeling improves as runoff remains low. If you plan hikes into the interior the days are nice but mornings can be humid - a light rain jacket and sturdy shoes are useful.
Windward Highlands & La Soufrière (interior highlands)
April brings a warmer, more humid feel in the lower slopes while cloud development over the highlands intensifies late in the day; the first heavier showers of the wet season often begin here. Trails toward La Soufrière can become noticeably slick and small streams rise rapidly after downpours, so avoid river crossings after rain. Still, the island’s vegetation brightens dramatically and waterfalls gain volume, rewarding short hikes.
Northern Grenadines (Bequia, Admiralty Bay & surroundings)
April tends to show signs of the impending wet season with increased humidity and the odd heavy shower, but most days are still beach-friendly and boat charters to the Tobago Cays are feasible. The island’s small festivals and regattas can start to appear in the shoulder season, creating a lively atmosphere in Port Elizabeth. Bring quick-dry clothing and waterproof protection for electronics on crossing days.
Central Grenadines (Mustique, Canouan, Mayreau, Tobago Cays)
April begins to feel a touch more humid in the central Grenadines, with isolated squalls drifting through but long sunny intervals remaining common; water remains warm and inviting. The Tobago Cays Marine Park maintains excellent snorkeling on clear days, but visibility may begin to lower slightly after heavier April showers. If you’re planning secluded anchoring, reserve space in advance as spring break patterns can fill prime spots.
Southern Grenadines & Union Island (Clifton, Tobago Cays approaches)
April increases humidity and the odd short heavy shower may interrupt trips to nearby uninhabited cays; winds can remain reliable but seas occasionally cloud after rain. The southern Grenadines slowly move toward quieter months as some charter fleets reposition, making late-April a good time to find deals. Bring protective covers for electronics and plan a mix of onshore and sheltered-lagoon activities.
