Tips for Visiting Rushan Range #
- Plan travel to the Rushan Range for the high season (roughly July-September) when passes are most likely to be open and mountain tracks are least affected by snow.
- You must arrange logistics in advance: obtain any required Gorno-Badakhshan (GBAO) permits, hire a local driver with a high-clearance 4x4 and a guide familiar with Pamiri roads and customs.
- Allow extra days for travel and acclimatisation-routes are remote, distances are long, and many attractive valleys and passes are only reachable by multi-day overland trips.
