Rumuruti sits in Laikipia County and is typically reached overland from Nairobi by matatu, coach or private vehicle. While there are small charter airstrips in Laikipia, road travel from Nairobi is the standard option for most visitors.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi (NBO): Nairobi is the main international gateway for reaching Rumuruti and Laikipia County. From Nairobi the road trip to Rumuruti is typically around 3-4 hours by private car or coach depending on traffic and exact route.
