The Royal Palace of Brussels is the official palace of the King of the Belgians used for state receptions and official functions, located in the centre of Brussels. It is not the monarch’s private residence but serves as the administrative and ceremonial palace.

The palace façade overlooks Brussels Park and forms part of the city’s Royal Quarter, featuring formal rooms used for receptions, audiences and state events. Some state rooms are opened to visitors during the summer season.

The current palace is the result of 18th- and 19th-century rebuilding and expansions on an earlier site; its layout and decoration have been adjusted over time to suit ceremonial needs. It remains a symbol of the Belgian constitutional monarchy.

Situated on the northern edge of Brussels Park, the palace lies near major institutions and is a short walk from the city centre and the Belgian Parliament building.

The Royal Palace of Brussels sits on Rue Royale adjacent to Parc de Bruxelles. Take Brussels Metro lines 1 or 5 to Parc station and walk about 3-5 minutes along Rue Royale to the palace entrance.

The palace is in central Brussels and a short drive or taxi from the city centre; it is immediately north of the Parc and well signed from central ring roads.
