The Royal Gorge Bridge is a high suspension bridge spanning the Royal Gorge over the Arkansas River near Canon City, Colorado, originally opened in 1929. It is notable for its height above the river and for the visitor attractions developed around the structure.

The bridge deck is about 1,260 feet (384 metres) long and sits approximately 955 feet (291 metres) above the river at its highest point, providing wide canyon views from the walkway. The site includes a visitor park with viewpoints, an aerial gondola and commercial zip-line operations that cross the gorge and offer close-up views of the canyon.

Built as a tourist attraction in the late 1920s, the bridge has been maintained as a public landmark and focal point for the adjacent scenic park throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. A major wildfire in 2013 damaged many park structures, and reconstruction work has taken place since then while the bridge remained the primary landmark.

The bridge sits above the Arkansas River canyon in south-central Colorado, adjacent to the small city of Cañon City and within Fremont County. The gorge cuts through a rugged, arid canyon landscape popular for sightseeing, photography and adventure tourism.
