Quezon Memorial Circle is a national shrine and urban park in Quezon City, Metro Manila. Its dominant feature is the Quezon Memorial Shrine, a tall mausoleum honoring President Manuel L. Quezon.

The park contains gardens, museums, recreational facilities and civic spaces across several hectares, making it a focal point for public events and daily leisure in Quezon City. The central mausoleum rises 66 meters and houses exhibits about Quezon and Philippine history.

The circle was established as a memorial to President Manuel L. Quezon and developed into a public park and shrine over the 20th century, with the mausoleum serving as the cemetery and focal monument for the site.

How to Get to Quezon Memorial Circle #

From central Manila, take a taxi or Grab northeast along EDSA into Quezon City; the park sits on the Elliptical Road (Elliptical Rd. and Commonwealth Ave. junction). From North Avenue MRT station, it’s a short taxi/jeepney ride; buses and jeepneys serving Commonwealth Avenue stop within a few blocks.

Tips for Visiting Quezon Memorial Circle #

  • Go at dawn to watch the swarm of joggers, tai chi groups and vendors - the park wakes up before the city does.
  • Enter the monument compound from Elliptical Road near the Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife gate to avoid the busiest entrances.
