Pura Candidasa Temple
Pura Candidasa is the lotus-lagoon temple that gives the resort town its name, sitting on a hillside above a lily-covered lagoon at the western edge of Candidasa on Bali's east coast.
About Pura Candidasa#
The temple overlooks a placid freshwater lagoon famous for its blooming lotus flowers, a tranquil counterpoint to the sea just across the road. Dedicated in part to Hariti, the temple is a working Balinese Hindu shrine and one of the most recognisable landmarks in Candidasa. It makes an easy stop while exploring the quieter beaches and dive sites of Bali’s east coast around Amlapura.
