How to Get to Pregrada
Pregrada is a small town north of Zagreb in Krapina-Zagorje County; most visitors arrive via Zagreb and continue by regional bus or occasional train. Buses from Zagreb are frequent and the simplest public-transport option.
Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG): Pregrada in Krapina-Zagorje County is easiest reached via Zagreb Airport. From ZAG take the airport shuttle or train to Zagreb city centre (20-30 min, fares vary around HRK 30-50 / ~€4-€7) and then regional trains or buses from Zagreb’s main stations (Glavni kolodvor or Autobusni kolodvor) toward Krapina-Zagorje; bus journeys to Pregrada take around 1-1.5 hours from Zagreb and fares are modest (a few euros).
Ljubljana / Graz (alternative regional options): Depending on flight routing, some travellers use Ljubljana (LJU) or Graz (GRZ) and then continue by rail/bus into northern Croatia, but these involve longer multi-leg journeys.
Train: Croatian Railways (HŽ) operates services from Zagreb toward northern towns; however, some local destinations in Krapina-Zagorje County are better served by bus. From Zagreb Glavni kolodvor you can travel by train or change to regional bus services for the last mile.
