The Palazzo dei Normanni (Palace of the Normans) sits in central Palermo. From Palermo Centrale station it’s an easy walk of about 15-20 minutes (around 1-1.5 km) along Via Roma/Via Vittorio Emanuele, or you can take a short taxi or local bus. From Falcone‑Borsellino Airport it’s approximately 35 km to central Palermo via the A29 (around 35-45 minutes’ drive).

• Book tickets for the Cappella Palatina (the palace chapel) in advance and arrive early - the chapel has limited capacity and is the busiest spot inside the complex.
• Start your visit before the midday tour groups and allow time for the palace's Norman rooms and mosaics; after the chapel, step outside to walk briefly toward Palermo Cathedral to continue the historic city circuit while crowds concentrate on the palace.
