How to Get to Orikum#
Orikum is a coastal town south of Vlora best reached by road from Tirana or Vlora. Flights into Tirana followed by a bus or private transfer to Vlora and then a short local connection to Orikum are the usual approach.
Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza (TIA): Tirana is the main international gateway for Orikum. From Tirana airport you can drive to Orikum in about 1.5-2 hours (≈100-140 km) or use a combination of intercity bus to Vlora and a local bus or taxi to Orikum.
Tivat Airport (TIV) / Berat (OLA flights seasonal): Depending on routing and season, travelers sometimes use nearby regional airports (Tivat in Montenegro) then cross by road into southern Albania; most visitors prefer Tirana for regular international services and easier onward public transport to Vlora and Orikum.
Train: Albania’s rail network is limited and does not provide convenient direct access to Orikum. Trains are not the recommended route for this coastal town.
Bus: Intercity buses and minibuses connect Tirana and Vlora; from Vlora there are local buses or taxis to Orikum (short coastal drive of about 15-30 minutes). Buses are the common and economical way to reach Orikum from larger towns.

Fly to Tirana then travel by bus or private transfer to Vlora and onward to Orikum. For convenience and flexible exploration of the coast, a rental car or taxi is recommended.
