How to Get to Nexø
Nexø sits on the east coast of Bornholm island; the island's transport hub is Rønne (airport and ferry harbour). Most visitors arrive via Rønne (by air or ferry) and continue to Nexø by the island bus network or taxi.
Bornholm/Rønne Airport (RNN): Rønne Airport (sometimes called Bornholm Airport) on Bornholm island is the closest airport to Nexø; it has domestic flights (notably to Copenhagen). From Rønne Airport you can reach Nexø by bus (BornholmsTrafikken) in roughly 25-40 minutes; expect single fares in the DKK 30-70 range depending on ticket type. Taxis take about 25-30 minutes and cost roughly DKK 300-500.
Copenhagen Airport (CPH): If you fly into Copenhagen you can connect to Bornholm by a short domestic flight to Rønne or by ferry from Køge/Ystad via Bornholmslinjen. Flights CPH-RNN are 40-50 minutes; Rønne transfers to Nexø add another 25-40 minutes by bus or taxi.
Train: There is no mainland rail link to Bornholm - trains bring you to the Danish mainland (e.g., Copenhagen) before you change to a flight or ferry.
