How to Get to Newcastle, Saint Kitts and Nevis
Newcastle on Nevis is served most directly via Vance W. Amory International Airport (NEV) on Nevis or by ferry from Basseterre (after arriving at SKB). Local road transfers from Charlestown are short.
Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB): The main international gateway for the area; Newcastle (on Nevis) is closest to NEV, but if arriving at SKB you’ll transfer by ferry or road. From SKB to Newcastle by road (after any inter-island transfer) expect around 30-45 minutes depending on connections.
Vance W. Amory International Airport (NEV): NEV is on Nevis and is the nearest airport to Newcastle; from NEV it’s a short taxi ride to Newcastle and surrounding towns (10-20 minutes).
Ferry: If you arrive on St Kitts, ferries to Nevis land at Charlestown; from there Newcastle and other Nevis locations are short road trips. Ferry crossings are typically 30-40 minutes.
