Nederlands Spoorwegmuseum is the Dutch national railway museum in Utrecht, located in the former Maliebaan station and presenting the Netherlands’ rail history and collections of locomotives and carriages.

The museum developed from preservation efforts in the mid-20th century and formally opened in the former station building in 1954; the building itself dates from the 19th century. Over time the collection and exhibition spaces have been expanded to create a national railway display.

The Nederlands Spoorwegmuseum (Dutch Railway Museum) is at the former Maliebaan station in Utrecht, within easy reach of Utrecht Centraal. It’s about a 15-25 minute walk (roughly 1.5-2 km) from the central station; alternatively take a short city‑bus ride to the Maliebaan stop, which leaves you a very short walk from the museum entrance.
